Through the Melbourne 2030 policy a growth boundary has been established preventing developments from outside these areas and designating them as Green Wedges. Development will not take place within these Green Wedge zones until the strategy expires in 2031.
Within the Growth Boundary there have been five designated Growth areas for the next 30 years.
